The Chief Guest also gave away the prizes to the ICAI Regional Councils and Branches that were adjudged best for their outstanding contributions under various categories in the year gone by. Student achievers were also awarded for their merit in various CA examinations. CA. Piyush Goyal also launched the ICAI’s New Scheme of Education and Training which has now been exposed for public comments.
A Vote of Thanks was proposed by the-then Vice-President CA. Manoj Fadnis (now the President). Reciprocating on the suggestions and call of the Chief Guest CA. Piyush Goyal, he said that the Institute will vigorously work for Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan and firm up plans for sanitation audit as a CSR initiative by accountancy fraternity. He assured the gathering that the ICAI will continue to fulfill the expectations of the Government, the society and the nation as a whole as a true partner in nation building. He also thanked CA. International Conference on Accountancy Profession: Building Global Competitiveness; Accelerating Growth brought together its intellectual stakeholders (e.g. thinkers, policymakers, industry leaders and financial analysts, etc.) together to conceptualise a strategic framework to build global competitiveness for Indian economic development.
